Cyrus II of Persia, commonly known as Cyrus the Great, was the founder of the Achaemenid Empire, the first Persian Empire.  Cyrus the Great was mentioned repeatedly in the Old Testament of the Bible where he is praised as the liberator of the Jews from Babylon.

Cyrus the Great is a very strong march for band reviews.  Originally a Grade 5 piece, this Grade 3 arrangement by Walter Hunt makes it more playable for smaller or younger bands.
