Mardi Gras is French for Fat Tuesday, referring to the practice of the last night of eating richer, fatty foods before the ritual fasting of the Lenten season, which begins on Ash Wednesday. This piece was written for a beginning level drum line, and designed specifically for use as a street percussion piece. This piece is perfect for a junior high/middle school drum line.

Written originally for Mr. Walter Hunt and Grange MS (Fairfield, CA).
