La Cucaracha is a traditional Spanish folk song. It is very popular in Mexico, especially during the Mexican Revolution. The basic song describes a cockroach that has lost one of its six legs and is struggling to walk with the remaining five.

This fun arrangement of La Cucaracha is written for a beginning marching percussion ensemble. Any of mallet or auxiliary percussion parts can be doubled or tripled to accommodate larger ensembles.
